A little bit of my story...
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who specializes in helping individuals and families during difficult transitions. My experience is in working with all age groups, however my primary focus is the adult population. I have worked for many years in the largest healthcare systems in NJ and I am proud to say that I am well known and respected in the medical community. I have always been a fierce advocate for my clients who are struggling to navigate the health care system.
My experience began when I worked as an advocate for children living in violent communities in Belfast, Northern Ireland during The Troubles. This was a grass-roots, non-partisan, and non-profit organization that was working on the front lines for peace and social justice in the small neighborhood communities in Northern Ireland during the violent 1990s.
Working with families in a war zone opened my eyes to the world of helping others.
My role was as a coordinator of a Senior Center in Lurgan, Northern Ireland. We facilitated community interfaith social gatherings between children and their families. I initiated a summer program that paired a child with an elderly member of the community for socialization and play. This program continues today.
My passion for social justice and helping others led me to positions advocating for vulnerable populations throughout my education and career. Through Jewish Family Services, I was able to engage older adults during in-home therapy for Holocaust survivors.
I assisted families as they were filing grants with The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. I also have facilitated socialization and bereavement groups for those who lost loved ones in the Holocaust.

I was a member of the Hospice Committee that was awarded 1st Place for a Nursing Magnet Project for the development of this Compassion Symbol for Riverview Medical Center's hospice patients. This symbol is placed on the door to raise awareness among staff and visitors that a patient is receiving end of life care and to encourage an atmosphere of respect and dignity
